The document discusses using social media and networking tools like Facebook, Twitter, and Edmodo in education. It provides information on how each platform can be used, such as Facebook for creating educational pages and groups, Twitter for hashtags and discussions, and Edmodo as a private social network designed specifically for classroom use. 34. I am soooo excited! My kids are thrilled about Edmodo. I have a student who is not taking medication for ADHD and he sits still to add to the stories I have online. He wanted to stay inside for recess because he wanted to add to it. Another student went home and posted to the site. She read new instructions I gave and joined the reading discussion group. I saw that she had joined so I sent her a question to reply to about author's purpose from a story that we read today. She replied less than 5 minutes later and had some great insight and explained why she enjoyed the passage that we read. This has really brightened my day. It makes me feel a lot better that I can teach through (edmodo), especially with that student that is having trouble controlling himself! Bridget Korenek Adams Meyer Elementary - Fourth Grade
