2. What is copyright?
‘Copyright’ is a law that protects works of authors and artists from
being used without permission.
Doesn’t the public have a right to use music and art?
Yes, that’s why there is something called Fair Use, this limits the use
of copyrighted material.
What’s a public domain?
A public domain is material that may be used without permission.
Can I use an image from internet for my report?
If the image has public domain, yes.

3. Does it matter how much of a song or video I use?
Yes, for videos you can use 3 minutes, for texts 1000 words
and for music and lyrics 30 seconds.
Can’t I use images and text from a site if it doesn’t have the
word copyright or the copyright symbol on the page?
Well, just because it doesn’t have the word ‘copyright’ it
doesn’t mean it is copyrighted.
Can I show everyone a project of school by putting it in my
web page?
Yes, but it will be avaible from people outside school too.

4. What is an attribution?
Giving credit to someone for it’s material is an
attribution.
I want to use a sound from a web page but I can’t find
anything about the copyright, what I do?
You can send a message asking the autor for permission
to use the file.
