3. Technology Study The U.S. Department of Education states that all students be technologically literate by the 8th grade. In 2000 a study by Software and Information Industry Association reviewed 311 research studies on the effectiveness of technology on student achievement Findings “Revealed positive and consistent patterns when students were engaged in technology rich environments, including significant gains, and achievement in all subject areas. Increased achievement in pre-k to high school in regular and special needs students, and improved attitudes toward learning and increased self esteem.” (www.ncrel.org).

5. In 2009, the Marzano Research Laboratory conducted a study that involved 85 teachers and 170 classrooms.
