The average crude oil price of Indian basket in April-September was
$104.43, compared to $107.12 a barrel in the year-ago period

2. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket remains unchanged at US$ 108.76/bbl on
01.01.2014
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas remains nattered at
US$ 108.76/per barrel (bbl) on 01.01.2014. The as prevalent price on previous trading day of
31.12.2013.
In rupee terms, though, the crude oil of price Indian Basket went up a fraction to Rs 6735.51 per
bbl on 01.01.2014 as compared to Rs 6732.24 /bbl on 31.12.2013. This was due to slight rupee
depreciation. Rupee closed at Rs 61.93/US$ on 01.01.2014 against Rs 61.90/US$ on 31.12.2013.

3. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket rises to US$ 107.95/bbl on 12.12.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas rose further to
US$ 107.95/per barrel (bbl) on 12.12.2013. This was marginally higher than the price of US$ 107.75/bbl
which prevailed on the previous trading day of 11.12.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price continued up word march ruling at to Rs 6651.88 per bbl
on 12.12.2013 as compared to Rs 6608.31 /bbl on 11.12.2013. This was due to increase in price in dollar
terms with weaker adding to the rise. Rupee-dollar exchange rate worsened further on 12.12.2013
was Rs 61.62/US$ against Rs 61.33/bbl on previous trading day of 11.12.2013.

4. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases marginally to US$ 109.68/bbl on
28.11.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published
today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry
ofPetroleum and Natural Gas marginally went up to US$ 109.68/per barrel (bbl)
on 28.11.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 109.46/bbl which prevailed
on the previous trading day of 27.11.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased marginally to Rs 6842.94
per bbl on 28.11.2013 as compared to Rs 6825.93 /bbl on 27.11.2013. This was
due to increase in price in dollar terms and rupee depreciation. Rupee-dollar
exchange rate on 28.11.2013 was Rs 62.39/US$ against Rs 62.36/bbl on previous
trading day of 27.11.2013.

5. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket falls below to US$ 105/bbl mark on
05.11.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to US$
104.98/per barrel (bbl) on 05.11.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 105.25/bbl which prevailed
on the previous trading day of 04.11.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 6486.71 per bbl on 05.11.2013 as
compared to Rs 6514.98 /bbl on 04.11.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms and because of
rupee appreciation. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 05.11.2013 was Rs 61.79/US$ against Rs 61.90/bbl
on previous trading day of 4.11.2013.

6. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket declines to US$ 106.57/bbl on 24.10.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to US$
106.57/per barrel (bbl) on 24.10.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 107.45/bbl which prevailed
on the previous trading day of 23.10.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price registered a decline closing at Rs 6544.46 per bbl on
24.10.2013 as compared to Rs 6611.40/bbl on 23.10.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms
and also because of rupee appreciation. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 24.10.2013 was Rs 61.41/US$
against Rs 61.53/bbl on previous trading day of 23.10.2013.

7. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket declines marginally to US$ 108.71/bbl on
14.10.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to US$
108.71/per barrel (bbl) on 14.10.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 108.91/bbl which prevailed
on the previous trading day of 11.10.2013.
In rupee terms however, the crude oil price increased slightly to Rs 6663.92 per bbl on
14.10.2013 as compared to Rs 6660.94 /bbl on 11.10.2013. This was owing to rupee
depreciation. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 14.10.2013 was Rs 61.30/US$ against Rs 61.16/bbl on
previous trading day of 11.10.2013.

8. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases to US$ 107.03/bbl on 03.10.2013,
stronger rupee moderates the impact
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$
107.03/per barrel (bbl) on 03.10.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 106.14/bbl which prevailed
on the previous trading day of 02.10.2013.
In rupee terms though, the crude oil price increased only marginally to Rs 6628.37 per bbl on
3.10.2013 as compared to Rs 6618.89 /bbl on 2 .10.2013. Stronger rupee yesterday moderated most of
the impact of price increase in dollar terms. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 03.10.2013
was Rs 61.93/US$ against Rs 62.36/bbl on previous trading day.

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$
107.52/per barrel (bbl) on 25.09.2013. This was higher than the price US$ 106.42/bbl which prevailed on
the previous trading day of 24.09.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 6741.50 per bbl on 25.09.2013 as
compared to Rs 6668.28 /bbl on 24.9.2013. . This was owing to price increase in dollar terms and also
contributed by rupee depreciation. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 25.09.2013 was Rs 62.70/US$ against
Rs 62.66/bbl on previous trading day of 24.09.2013.

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went to US$
110.08/per barrel (bbl) on 16.09.2013. This was US$ 110.68/bbl on the previous trading day of
13.09.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price fall decreased to Rs 6877.80 per bbl on 16.09.2013 as
compared to Rs 7060.28 /bbl on 13.9.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms and also
because of rupee appreciation.Rupee dollar exchange rate on 16.09.2013 at Rs 62.48/US$ against Rs

barrel (bbl) on 06.09.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 111.93/bbl which prevailed on the
previous trading day of 05.09.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 7424.46 per bbl on 06.09.2013 as
compared to Rs 7391.86 /bbl on 05.9.2013. This was owing to price increased in dollar terms and also

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to
US$ 110.73/per barrel (bbl) on 02.09.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 112.68/bbl which
prevailed on the previous trading day of 30.08.2013.
In rupee terms however, the crude oil price decreased to Rs 7292.68 per bbl on 2.09.2013 as
compared to RsRs 7501.11 /bbl on 30.8.2013. This was due to rupee appreciation. Rupee-dollar

13. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket Moves up to US$ 108.54/bbl on 22.08.2013; goes past
Rs 7100 per barrel mark in rupee terms
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis
Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 108.54/per barrel (bbl)
on 22.08.2013.
This was higher than the price of US$ 107.97/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of
21.08.2013.
In rupee terms, the crude oil price increased sharply to Rs 7100.69 per bbl on 22.08.2013 as
compared to Rs 6851.78 /bbl on 21.8.2013.
This was due to rupee price increase in dollar terms with rupee depreciation adding to price rise.
Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 22.08.2013 at Rs 65.42/US$ against Rs 63.46/US$ on previous trading

on 19.08.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up
marginally to US$ 108.63/per barrel (bbl) on 19.08.2013. This was higher than the price of US$
108.48/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of 16.08.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 6773.08 per bbl on 19.08.2013 as
compared to Rs 6706.23 /bbl on 16.8.2013. This was due to rupee depreciation. Rupee-dollar

15. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket declines on 07.08.2013 to US$ 105.33/bbl
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas fell to US$
105.33/per barrel (bbl) on 07.08.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 105.92/bbl prevailing on the
previous trading day of 07.08.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price moved downward below Rs 6500/bbl mark to Rs 6466.21/bbl
on 07.8.2013 as compared to Rs 6518.32/bbl on 06.8.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms
and also helped on by rupee appreciation. The rupee- dollar exchange rate on 07.08.2013 was
to Rs 61.39/US$ against Rs 61.54/US$ on previous trading day of 06.08.2013.

16. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases sharply to US$ 106.31/bbl on 01.08.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up sharply to
US$ 106.31/per barrel (bbl) on 01.08.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 105.51/bbl prevailing
on the previous trading day of 31.07.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 6457.27/bbl on 01.8.2013 as compared to Rs
6448.77/bbl on 31.07.2013. The rupee appreciation moderated major part of the impact of price rise in
dollar terms. Rupee dollar exchange rate on 01.08.2013 improved to Rs 60.74/US$ against Rs 61.12/US$
on previous trading day of 31.07.2013.

105.86/per barrel (bbl) on 25.07.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 105.95/bbl
prevailing on the previous trading day of 24.07.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 6239.39/bbl on 25.7.2013 as compared
to Rs 6298.73/bbl on 24.07.2013. This was due fall in price in dollar terms and also because

18. Global crude oil price of Indian Basket rises sharply to US$ 106.46/ bbl on 18.07.2013
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$
106.46 /per barrel (bbl) on 18.07.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 105.77 /bbl prevailing on
the previous trading day of 17.07.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price has increased alongside the trend to reach Rs 6356.73/bbl
on 18.7.2013 as compared to Rs. 6278.51/bbl on 17.07.2013. This was mainly due to price increase in
dollar terms and further fueled by rupee depreciation. The rupee dollar exchange rate on 18.07.2013
