Mary I, also known as Mary Tudor, became Queen of England in 1553. She tried to convert England back to Catholicism and had many Protestants who refused burned. This earned her the name "Bloody Mary". Robert Peel established the first official British police force and introduced rights for Catholics. He was prime minister twice. The legend says the kingdom will fall if the six ravens ever leave the Tower of London. Henry VIII refused the Catholic faith and established the English Church because the Pope would not annul his marriage to his brother's widow.
