– Culturally e.g. management style, work practices etc.
– Judgmentally – what customer says it is

– Performance – achieves intended purpose

– Aesthetics – does it look, feel, taste…….good?
– Perceived quality – perceptions of different users
– Safety – does product protect users?
– Environmental friendliness – does product have a destructive
