  To form the past in French,  you need two parts…  the  PAST PARTICIPLE  of your verb (allé, joué, vu, pris, etc.) with  AVOIR  or  ÊTRE   before it
So, to say  I played …. ,[object Object],J’ ai … and a  past participle joué ...but to say  I went … you need  ÊTRE   … Je  suis all allé … and a  past participle And here’s the tricky bit... Because  aller   forms   the   past   with   ÊTRE ...  ...if you’re a girl... you add an  e e I’m a girl!
