Spanish Football Federation Continue Cooperation with Adidas to Year
2018

At Spain local time 7th in Madrid, Adidas and Spanish Football Federation
formally announced that they would extend the time of sponsor agreement to
December 2018. It means that Spain will continue wearing Adidas Jerseys to
compete in the next two European Cup and World Cup. Spanish Football
Federation successively won the champions of European Cup and World Cup in
2008 and 2010, reaching the unprecedented peak in Spanish football field.
Meanwhile, it entered gold period of cooperating with Adidas. The cooperation of
Adidas and Spanish Football Federation began in 1992. Before 1992, there were
two temporary co-operations from 1982 to 1984. In the past nearly twenty years,
Spanish National Team couldn’t obtain satisfactory result and received an
embarrassing title of King of Qualifying Competition. However, adhering to
technical route, it finally won the champion of European Cup after 44 years in
2008 summer in Vienna. Two years later, it became the eighth football team that
won the champion of World Cup in history in South Africa. President of Spanish
Soccer Association said: “we are glad to extend the cooperation with our official
sponsor Adidas. This agreement allows us to obtain more support from Adidas.
Two organizations’ continues cooperation would promote the development of
Spanish football of all levels.” Brand of Spanish National Team and Adidas will
continue to occupy a significant and decisive position in world football circle in the
next few years.
