see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now
before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.

Heb 11:6 ESV And without faith it is impossible to
please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that
he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Without Faith We cannot
please God
10. Faith Pleases God
Heb 11:7 ESV By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning
events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving
of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an
heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
By Faith We become an
heir of Righteousness
Gal 3:26-29 ESV for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God,
through faith. (27) For as many of you as were baptized into Christ
have put on Christ. (28) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is
neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all
one in Christ Jesus. (29) And if you are Christ's, then you are
Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.
11. God Has Prepared a City for the Faithful
Heb 11:8 ESV By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to
go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went
out, not knowing where he was going.

12. God Has Prepared a City for the Faithful
Heb 11:10 ESV For he was looking forward to the city that has
foundations, whose designer and builder is God.
The Faithful seek a City not made with hands
Heb 11:16 ESV But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a
heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for
he has prepared for them a city.
Rev21:1-4ESVThen I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first
heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.(2)
And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven
from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.(3)And I heard a
loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is
with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God
himself will be with them as their God.(4)He will wipe away every tear
from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning,
nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
13. God Has Prepared a City for the Faithful
Heb 11:17-19 ESV By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up
Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up
his only son, (18) of whom it was said, "Through Isaac shall your
offspring be named." (19) He considered that God was able even to
raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did
receive him back.
The Faithful are tested
1Co 10:13 ESV No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to
man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your
ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape,
that you may be able to endure it.
14. God Has Prepared a City for the Faithful
Heb 2:18 ESV For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is
able to help those who are being tempted.
The Faithful are tested
Heb 4:15-16 ESV For we do not have a high priest who is unable to
sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been
tempted as we are, yet without sin. (16) Let us then with confidence
draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find
grace to help in time of need.
