The Pineapple Project aims to clarify and structure accredited prior experiential learning (APEL) work and practices at the University of Plymouth. The project team conducted surveys of HE in FE program managers and held events to understand barriers and mechanisms to implementing APEL procedures. They are developing an APEL toolkit and process mapping to help staff explain the APEL process and build case studies to support students. The system will allow users to design customized APEL processes and lead students through applications to standardize practices across the university.
