Accessible only while enrolled within the school district Can not access once you have left the district No Instant Messaging capability Did not offer virtual office hours Who’s online capability was also not offered Book marking and note taking abilities within Angel were limited or not available Assessment tools were available, but did not offer practice assessments or direct learners to content after assessment was completed. Angel Limitations
Creativity and Innovation Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology.   Students pick their own project content and create their own projects based off of the project requirements present by the teacher. Communication and Collaboration Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance, to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others. Students use Angel to communicate and collaborate throughout the duration of the assignment.   Research and Information Fluency Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. Students search various internet resources to evaluate and determine what information should be included within their projects. Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources. Students use critical thinking skills to solve  and make decision that present themselves throughout the course of creating their projects. Digital Citizenship Students understand human, cultural, and societal issues related to technology and practice legal and ethical behavior. Students practice digital citizenship everyday that they use computers and the Internet.   Technology Operations and Concepts Students demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts, systems, and operations. While using the computers and the internet to complete assigned projects, students are demonstrating their understanding of technology operations and concepts.   NETS 2007 for Students
Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and  virtual environments. Using Angel to create course lessons  and demonstrate course assignments  allows me to facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETS*S. Angel allows me to design digital age learning experiences and assessment tools with their content management system and rubric creation capabilities. Model Digital-Age Work and Learning Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society. Modeling Angel and its capabilities on a daily basis allows me to model digital age work and learning experiences. Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices. Through course discussion boards  and classroom face-to-face conversation with students I am able to promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility. Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources. Working with other coworkers during professional development opportunities, workshops, or during the course of the school day I am engaging in professional growth and leadership roles within my school and community. Modeling Angel and its capabilities on a daily basis allows me to model digital age work and learning experiences. Through course discussion boards and classroom face-to-face conversation with students I am able to promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility.
