Nifty, Sensex, Bank Nifty ended at record
closing highs. Nifty ended above 6850 for
first time ever.Nifty was up 199 points or
2.99 percent at 6858.80. Nifty hit intra-day
record high of 6871.35. Sensex hit
intra-day record high of 23,048, and shut
up 650.19 points or 2.91 percent at
22994.23. Bank Nifty hit intra-day record
high of 13,814.25.Nifty consolidated in a
range of 6,745-6650 for the initial four
trading sessions of last week as the bulls
and bears were struggling to give it a
direction. Also, we witnessed Nifty
breaching the psychological 6,800 level
and rising to 6,900 levels on the back of
strong global cues towards the end of the
week. However, it ended the week on a
positive note by rebounding from the 6,660
support level and closing above this crucial
mark. In the coming week, Nifty is
expected to continue its upward move as
per the technical indicators. Its RSI has
rebounded from the 30 levels and the
MACD is showing maximum divergence
and it is about to give a buy signal by
crossing above the signal line. Upside,
6,900 is the immediate resistance for Nifty
and if this is breached, an upward move
until 7,000 can be expected.
Downside, 6,650 is the major support and
incase it moves past this level, a move
until 6,600 can be
expected.

Cyient (earlier Infotech Enterprises) held
an investor meet on 8 May 2014. An
interesting feature of the meet was the
company’s increased focus on end-to-
end solutions – from co-creation of
products to managing the product
lifecycle. This, we believe, is an attempt
by Cyient to differentiate itself among its
clients, penetrate information
technology (IT) budgets, drive
revenue/profit and provide new growth
opportunities. The company is
partnering with Pratt & Whitney, a
major client, in manufacturing aircraft
and aircraft engine components. We
have retained our Buy rating on
Cyient with a target price of Rs440.
