Now they sin more and more;
they make idols for themselves from their silver,
cleverly fashioned images,
all of them the work of craftsmen.
It is said of these people,
“They offer human sacrifice
and kiss the calf-idols.”
Therefore they will be
like the morning mist,
like the early dew that disappears,
like chaff swirling from a threshing floor,
like smoke escaping through a window.
14. The Golden Calf
Exodus 32:1-6
When the people saw that Moses was so long

out of Egypt, we don’t know what has
happened to him.”

fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are
your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”

thieves do not break in and
steal.
For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19-21
19. Get the Roman Treatment
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,
holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual
act of worship.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what
God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1-2
20. The Rich Ruler

adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false
testimony, honor your father and mother. ’ “
“All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.

one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the
poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then
come, follow me.”

he was a man of great wealth. Jesus looked at him
and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the
kingdom of God!
