Those planning on traveling from Los Angeles to the Santa Ynez Valley this September will find quite
a few special activities going on in Solvang, Buellton and Los Alamos as summer comes to a close
and Autumn begins.

The 75th Annual Solvang Danish Days Celebration begins on Friday, September 16th and continues
through Sunday, September 18th. This year's celebration is a very special one because it coincides
with the 100th anniversary of the "Danish Capital of America".
Some of the activities include concerts by the Aalborg Police Band of Denmark, Ravens of Odin, a
professional Viking re-enactment group, woodcarving demonstrations, Randel McGee's Hans
Christian Andersen story-telling sessions, a Danish-style Beer Garden and the PCPA Theaterfest
performances of "My Fairytale".

2. Many of the Bakeries and restaurants will feature the special pastry for this event called the
Aebleskiver, a yummy Danish pastry ball.

A must for anyone visiting Solvang between September 13th and September 25th is the musical"My
Fairytale" which is performed in an open air theater and is about Hans Christian Andersen,
Denmark's leading storyteller. The musical takes you on a dreamlike journey through the various
fairytale stories conceived by Hans Christian Andersen. The performance is exceptional especially
the choreography and the creativity of the costumes. This is a must see that you will not regret.
Make sure you wear warm clothes and bring blankets because it does get chilly during the
performance.

The 65th Annual Los Alamos Old Days Celebration is September 23 -25, 2011. This year's theme is
"Los Alamos Celebrates 65 Years of Old Days". The event, which celebrates the areas western
heritage, features a two-day Peddlers Mart, Saturday's classic Car Show and Sunday's "Greatest
Little Small Town Parade". The event starts off Friday, September 23rd with the Old Days Chili Kick-
Off Party.

From September 17 - 25, 2011 is the first Santa Ynez Valley "Vintages Week". During this week
visitors will enjoy special wine tastings in Solvang, Solvang Third Wednesday Wine Walk, the 75th
annual Danish Days in Solvang, the 65th annual Los Alamos Old Days Celebration, special museum
events in both Solvang and Santa Ynez and the 2nd annual Buellton Vintage Trailer Rally at the
Flying Flags RV Resort and Campground.
