The Future Internet Research and Experimentation (FIRE) funds large projects to conduct research into the next generation Internet. At anytime there are a collection of FIRE facilities with large computational resources and high bandwidth connections available for FIRE researchers. The aim of the FORGE project is to make these world class facilities available for learners, anytime, anywhere. In short FORGE is embedding FIRE in eBooks facilitating global access within mobile devices such as tablets.
