• They are updated frequently with
commentary on one or many topics
• They can be short one to three paragraph
entries to keep readers updated
3. How to Start
• Pick a site to start your blog on; some
examples are:
• wordpress.com
• blogger.com
• blogspot.com
• tumblr.com
4. I chose wordpress.com for an example.
It is very simple.
Pick a username
and address, and
a password,
enter your email
and you are
good to go.
5. • Sign in to your account
• Use the button to add
a post to your page
• Use the toolbar on the side to
also help you add items to your
page, view comments, change the
appearance of your blog and see
how your blog is rated.

• Similar to an email
• Add a subject in the
top line
• Write your post in
the box below
• There is also an
option on the side
bar to add tags to
your post

• Breaking news
• Calls to action
• Asking supporters to donate
• Stories or photos from an event
• Allow guest bloggers to share experience
• Resource sharing
• Press releases
