• Twitter: The # symbol… used to mark keywords
or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by
Twitter users as a way to categorize messages.
• Other:
o A hashtag is a word or an unspaced phrase
prefixed with the hash symbol. It is a form of

o A word or phrase preceded by a hash or pound
sign (#) and used to identify messages on a
specific topic. (Google)

All you need to do is place the pound sign,

phrase, uninterrupted by spaces or
