Hi all, This presentation could be used as a "HOOK' and introduction lesson to an Insect Unit, which I am currently doing with my class on prac. Another use for this particular powerpoint would be as a form of either formative or summative assessment. It could be used to measure students' previous knowledge of the topic or be used as a different take on the end of term exam. In that sense it would be very useful as an exam because those who suffer from ASD and struggle to divulge verbal information would be better suited to an exam which is presented by powerpoint. There is also no doubt that powerpoints bring an element of novelty into the learning experience. Also the fact, that powerpoints can now be embedded in blogs and websites as well as pretty much anything be able to embedded into a powerpoint itself makes it hard not to resist as a form of teaching/learning strategy in the classroom. Feel free to comment on my post or the presentation. Regards Jon
