has been spent on it, and it is of the best

Brief History of product
In 2007, March, Wrigley introduced a new brand of gum to consumers called “5”. It was just as
exciting as the introduction of the gum “Extra” which occurred 20 years prior. The Gum has been
successful as it is constantly producing new flavours of gum and here is a list of all the flavours:

Consider how they are advertised and marketed.
What is their image? Their image is focussed on flavour, all the adverts show a burst of
taste and colour. This closely links in with the slogan “stimulate your senses”. An example of
this is the TV advert which shows a tsunami of juices circling around a person.
Think about the colours they use?
Are the adverts Serious? Funny? Cool? The adverts are normally quite serious but
fictional. They focus on showing the audience that “5 Gum” will give you a burst of flavour and
they do this by literally presenting a sudden flow of taste through vibrant colours. Although the
adverts are serious, they catch your attention as they are so unrealistic but really do reflect
the sensation you get from eating this gum.
Who are the products aimed at? The products are aimed at anyone above the
age of 12 as anything under could be a safety hazard as they could choke. The
target audience are teenagers as the adverts apeal to younger adults compared
to older ones due to the colour scheme.

This ad is different as it is fictional, it is edited to over
emphasise the flavour of the gum. It looks really nice and
looks quite appealing to eat as it will give such a burst of
flavour. The simplicity of this advert makes you focus on the
flavour through the use of vibrant colour mirroring the taste
you get once chewing this gum. Its quite short and to the
point witch further strengthens the emphasis on the taste.
