TIME MANAGEMENT
In order manage our time, it is important that we keep up to date with our
deadlines and on top of all pre production work.
If we miss deadlines, it is important that we alter our plans and make sure we
know why we didn’t meet them.
3. Song: Matches (3:26)
Tonight’s a flame, and we are too
These shades of red, they never felt so good
I thought you would not understand, but it seems like we’re on the same page
Let’s burn tonight
We’ll burn tonight, we’ll burn tonight
We’ll start to learn, then we’ll burn
Burning bright tonight, here comes the storm tonight
Lighting matches to guide your way back home
Here we are now, at the end of this
But it feels like, just the beginning
All the letters, and the photos too
And it rains here
Tonight we’ll burn
We’ll start to learn, we’ll start to burn
Tonight we’ll burn, tonight we’ll learn
Burning bright tonight, here comes the storm tonight
Lighting matches to guide your way back home
Let’s burn tonight X6
4. For 0:30, the intro is only music. For this, we plan to have close ups of the band playing their
instruments in a ‘live’ performance.
Tonight’s a flame, and we are too
As this song is called Matches, we want to include a sense of fire. We plan to use Catherine Wheels and Sparklers, and at the
start, the sound of someone lighting a match.
These shades of red, they never felt so good
My researched video directors, Sitcom Soldiers, used flashes of colour in post production to create a more artistic effect. I think
this would be a great chance to in cooperate that technique.
I thought you would not understand, but it
seems like we’re on the same page
5. I think it’s important to have live performance shots during the chorus, as it gives the viewers a chance to see the talent and
personality of the band. I think the live performance could change between woodland and beach.
Let’s burn tonight
We’ll burn tonight, we’ll burn tonight
We’ll start to learn, then we’ll burn
Burning bright tonight, here comes the storm

Lighting matches to guide your way back
home
I think this part of the song could be written about love. Even though there will be no love based narrative, it is good to bear it in
mind.
6. Here we are now, at the end of this
We want to film the band walking around, looking slightly lost “finding their way back home”
This would be a great part of the song to do this. The singer miming, the band behind. Carrying instruments?
But it feels like, just the beginning
All the letters, and the photos too
And it rains here
7. This is the outro to the song.
This is when we would like to have the band performing in the woodland/an open space. We want to have a catherine wheel and
sparklers to creative a warm, dramatic effect towards the end of the song.
Tonight we’ll burn
We’ll start to learn, we’ll start to burn
Tonight we’ll burn, tonight we’ll learn
Burning bright tonight, here comes the storm
tonight
Lighting matches to guide your way back
home
Let’s burn tonight X6
At the end of the song, we could have the band walking away into a sunset. They’ve found their way back home, and the sun is
setting on their song!!
8. Cast & crew
As there is only Rebecca and myself, it is going to be difficult to get
everything finished on time unless we specify what we do.
Jordane & Rebecca – Filming. We will both film from different angles,
and film different elements of the song. E.g. Whilst I film the band
walking and lip syncing, Rebecca films surrounding area.
Jordane - Lighting
Jordane & Rebecca – Putting the footage into order
Jordane – After effects editing. I am going to try and self-teach myself
some after effects editing, to add excitement to the video.
Rebecca – Transition and lighting editing.
9. Risk Assesment
Get permission if necessary. As we are filming in woodland, we may need permission
to be on the land.
Safety of location. Filming near the sea front could be dangerous.
Be aware of equipment theft.
When filming, be sure you have the contact details of all involved.
Assess possible risks at each location, look for anything that could harm you or others
around.
Ensure that the weather condition is suitable, be sure that it is appropriate conditions
