How to photograph your property for real estate listings
Better photographs of the property you are selling will attract buyers and increase the chances of their coming to see the space in person. This series of images shows a co-op apartment in the Hudson Heights section of Manhattan. The space is not furnished and my intent was to portray the rooms to convey the layout and overall size, Techniques used were a wide angle lens, extra flashes in bathrooms and closets to provide illumination that will draw the viewer to different parts of the room, and combining more than one photograph into one final image. See, for example, the photo with the fire escape seen through the window. The light levels inside and outside are quite different, so two pictures, each properly exposed for the light levels, were combined. Also added was another image with the proper exposure for the lights in the closet. The flashes used are being triggered by a slave transmitter (an affordable transmitter- receiver set that allows powering of off-camera flashes in sync with the camera exposure).
