1. A city is plagued by all forms of criminality where the victims are the innocent and ordinary
citizens. A call to ‘salvage’ the suspected criminals sent pressures to the local government to act
immediately and for society’s possible tolerance just to solve the crisis. Resolve the kind of
justice in relation to the possible natural selection and ordering of law abiding citizens from
criminals and the kind of delayed justice in our overly abused democratic value of rule of law.
2. Resolve your understanding on the relationship between the Philippine Church and State
especially on how we will be involved politically in between these two great institutions. Do you
feel serving two rivaling masters or two friendly masters?
3. Justify that political dynasty is right as in the way the concept of slavery was defended. If this is
wrong, how can we possibly right this one considering the strong attachment of the Filipinos to
‘close family ties’ and ‘debt of gratitude’?
4. Is Justice not enough to resolve the Maguindanao Massacre? What else are necessary so that
society will learn from these inhuman acts?
5. Commercialization is inevitable. As a young frequenter to the malls, what morals can we get
from this modern form of market. Is there an Aristotelian ‘unnatural’ of this kind of lifestyle?
6. What politics can we breed in our society today where our young generations (even the
previous generations) are virtually interacting through social networking? Is virtual or online
interaction ultimately kills politics?
