2. What is Listening....?
Listening is pay attention to somebody or
something that you can hear, take notice
or believe what somebody says for
something be prepared to hear a
particular sounds (Oxford, Fourth Edition,
2008)
3. Is listening a passive or active
skill?
Listening is considered to involve the active
selecting and interpreting of information
coming
from auditory clues so that a listener can
identify
what is happening and what is being
expressed.

listening task ?
There are three useful steps how to conduct
the listening task :

Give the general questions

Brainstorm
Avoid
the text too long

play
the recording once for overall
note any informations
Divide students into groups
Give students a different listening task
Try to repeat the recording
10. Post-listening
Students
Compare and discuss their notes
Encourage students to respond to what they
heard
Tell students to call out ‘Stop!’
Note any new vocabulary
