- Green libraries operate in a sustainable way. But what is sustainability? Sustainability has one goal. To meet the needs of our current generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
- Constant balancing act!
- This is not quite what I meant. Your organisation can become more sustainable (or “greener”) by creating a sustainability scorecard. This will allow you to set some sustainability targets and rate yourselves against them. Then, you put strategies in place to allow yourselves to be able to get better scores. Release the scorecard to your user base every 6 or 12 months. Ask them to suggest to you how you you could improve your ratings.
