Video Camera: before this production I was not aware of the proper usage of
video camera as we were doing our preliminary task I started to pick up camera
techniques and camera angles and movement. It is a professional piece of
equipment that people use to make videos such as short films, clips, music
videos etc. you can get more expensive camera’s which are more technical and
are designed for different things.
IMac: I didn’t understand how to work a Mac before I id this course, I have
learnt how to use, Garage band, Safari and IMovie this was handy because we
used the IMac to make our film opening, the film opening would have looked so
good if we hadn’t have used the IMac. Imac’s are specially used for music, art or
Media in our school because there are special software's which cater for the
techniques needed.
Tripod and SD Card: When we first started Media I was not familiar with these, I
did not know that the tripod for a camera was so important when wanting to get
a slow steady straight shot and I did not know at all what a SD card was now I
have found out that the tripod is very useful when you want the camera to stay
still and have a eye level shot and also now I know the SD card carries all work
done on the camera both videos and pictures and can be transferred to a
computer.

IMovie: I had known about this before from previous working
with filming but I had not known how to officially work it such as
add effects, titles, change between clips. IMovie is used to create
movies, video’s , clips and adverts, IMovie is designed to help
people designe those sort of clips and it is also easy to get the hang
of so we thought we would try it as we were all new to it.
Garage band: I had already known how to use this so it was more
of a job getting on with it then getting to know it, garage band is
designed to help you create any sort of music you like, it is set up
with as many different clips of sound from lots of different
instruments which is easy to click and drag to make/create your
own music with. Unfortunately we found a copyright free music
website with a piece of music one which fit our film opening
perfectly and we went with it.

Google: I would have to say google is the online tool we used
most to get information from such as historical facts like slavery
embellishment, google helped us to find out how people dressed
and looked in 1833 and how they acted against slaves. Google was
helpful for research and also if we needed help with software we
could of easily looked it up no problem.
Art Of The Title: Art of the title was a guideline for us mostly after
doing the preliminary task we knew the site and it was eay and
useful going back and forth to check our film opening had mainly
everything they did, it was also helpful when we did the timeline
for another film opening because when we went to do ours it was
easy for us to go back to that and check to see we had everything
we needed and see how professional films had done it.

Blogger: we used blogger to update our course work online as
well as printing our course work off in a folder we had uploaded
it online to our blog which each of us have. Blogs are very useful
things they can be used for socialising, updating your thoughts
but we have used it for our work.
Slideshare: Slideshare was very useful for me because some of my
work is on PowerPoint such as this is and I need to put it online I
go to slide share and upload my PowerPoint to it and I put it on
my blog thing is useful because otherwise I would have had to
copy and paste each page of my work on to my blog, im sure this
has been useful to other people who have done there work on
powerpoints.
