7. Why Do Jehovah‟s Witnesses Go
From Door to Door?
• Jesus told his followers to “make disciples of people of all the nations.”
(Matthew 28:19, 20) When he sent out his early disciples, Jesus directed
them to go to the homes of the people. (Matthew 10:7, 11-13) After Jesus‟
death, first-century Christians continued to spread their message both
“publicly and from house to house.”

8. Why Use the Name Jehovah‟s
Witnesses?
• Jehovah is the personal name of God, as
found in the Bible. (Exodus 6:3; Psalm
83:18) A witness is a person who
proclaims views or truths of which he is
convinced.
• Thus, our name Jehovah‟s Witnesses
designates us as a group of Christians
who proclaim the truth about Jehovah, the
Creator of all things.

10. Who was their founder ?
• The modern-day organization of Jehovah‟s Witnesses began at the end of the 19th
century. At that time, a small group of Bible students who lived near
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States, began a systematic analysis of the
Bible.
• Among that group of sincere Bible students was a man named Charles Taze Russell.
While Russell took the lead in the Bible education work at that time and was the first
editor of The Watchtower, he was not the founder of a new religion.
• Since Jesus is the Founder of Christianity, they view him as the founder of their
organization.

11. Do You Feel That You Are the
Only People Who Will Be Saved?
• No. Many millions who lived in centuries past
and who weren‟t Jehovah‟s Witnesses will
have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible
explains that in God‟s promised new
world, “there is going to be a resurrection of
both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
(Acts 24:15) Additionally, many now living
may yet begin to serve God, and they too will
gain salvation. In any case, it‟s not our job to
judge who will or won‟t be saved. That
assignment rests squarely in Jesus‟ hands.—
John 5:22, 27.

12. How to be a jehova‟s witness?
• 1. Determine why you find the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses appealing. Would you like to live forever on earth? Would you
like help coping with problems? Are you dissatisfied with teachings of other Christian groups such as the trinity, hell fire and immortal
soul? Jehovah's Witnesses have answers to such questions that many find appealing.
• 2. Have a desire to know more about the Bible. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and
instead of following human traditions, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs
• 3. Request a free home Bible study:
• 4. Study the Bible on a regular basis, usually weekly, with the help of an appropriate study aid publication. Every one of
Jehovah's Witnesses is a volunteer so there is no elite clergy class set aside for the teaching and preaching work. Ask as many
honest and heartfelt questions as it takes to determine if what you are learning is true. Persist until you have found satisfying, Bible-
based answers.
• 5. Apply what you are learning. Pray to Jehovah and seek the assistance of your study conductor, and wholesome Christian
associates to do this. Associate with Jehovah's Witnesses at their regularly held meetings.

• 7. Recognize the authority of the "faithful and discreet slave". At Matthew 24:45 Jesus asked: "Who really is the faithful and
discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?" The leadership of
Jehovah's Witnesses are a small group of men (currently seven) known as the Governing Body. To become one of Jehovah's
Witnesses means accepting the authority of these men, who it is believed are providing spiritual food at the proper time. For
example, The Watchtower of September 15, 2010 said "The anointed and their other sheep companions recognize that by following
the lead of the modern-day Governing Body, they are in fact following their Leader, Christ

to preach about Jehovah house to house along with Jehovah's Witnesses.
9 . Baptism Make a heartfelt dedication in prayer to serve Jehovah God forever. Meet with your local elders to determine if and
when you are ready for baptism. If you qualify, then arrangements will be made for your public declaration of dedication to Jehovah
through water-immersed baptism at a public meeting (usually assembles and conventions). Baptism is only the beginning, you must
be determined to continue serving Jehovah forever.
