Hemorrhoids are usually not dangerous or life threatening, in fact the
symptoms will go away within a few days. Symptom of internal
hemorrhoid is bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper or in
the toilet bowl. Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include
painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus that results when a
blood clot forms. This is known as the thrombosed external
hemorrhoid.
There are so many options in treating external hemorrhoids from
simple home remedies to surgical procedures. Mostly external
hemorrhoids are treated by involving dietary changes, topical
treatments, non-surgical treatments and Sitz bath which will relief the
hemorrhoids. But in extreme cases, there is a need for surgery or
external hemorrhoid removal.
There are various types of external hemorrhoid removal. One of them
is thrombectomy, where the thrombosed vein is cut and an excision of

The most severe form of external hemorrhoids requires surgical
removal and also requires anesthesia and hospitalization. The
sclerotherapy method is a simple technique that is performed under

prolapsed in 80% of the patients. This is usually applied to patients
with large hemorrhoid units and severe complications.
