2. #1 – Facebook Graph Search
Everytime Facebook launches
something new, they roll it out slowly,
which means that not everyone gets
new features at the same time.
When you already have your
Facebook Icon in white it means that
you are one of the lucky ones that
already has “Facebook Graph”.
Graph Search will allow you to search in a different way : you will be able to
search very specific accross people, photos, places or interest. For example you
can search for “people from Brussels that are interested in restaurants”. When
you would look up “restaurants in Brussels, visited by my friends” with your
personal profile, you will immediately get recommendations.
3. #2 – Trending
Though not visible for everyone yet, Facebook
started rolling out “Trending” (quite similar to
the existing Twitter functionality) to highlight
what’s currently popular on Facebook based on
your personal interest (so list will be different for
everyone). When you click on a headline you will
get to see the headline itself plus what your
friends or pages you liked are saying about that
subject (see screenshot on the right side):
4. #3 – Mentioning/Tagging another page = more reach
From now on when you “mention”
another page (by using the @ symbol to
make their Page name clickable)
Facebook might also show your posts to
the fans of the Page that you mention
which leads to more organic reach.
When you already have fans in common
with the Page that you mention the
chances are more likely that Facebook
will show your posts to other fans of
that page.
5. #4 – Add a Call-to-Action button to posts
When you use the Facebook Power
Editor you can add a Call-To-Action
Button that you select from a
predefined list to your organic posts,
and to ads.

6. #5 – Coming up: new design for FB Pages
Facebook will soon change the
“web” layout of Pages to be more
in line with Personal Profiles:
• Tabs will be hidden behind a
“More” button”
• Left Column will only contain
information about your Company
• Right Column will contain Timeline
• Top Right metrics box with info
about ads, likes & post reach
A redesign of the layout of Pages
on Mobile is also foreseen, and
announced for April.
7. #6 – Pages to Watch
Facebook experimented with
“Pages to Watch” (meaning some
pages already had this
functionality), and now decided
to roll this out for all Pages. With
this module you can select 5
Pages to follow, for example
competitors or related
brands/companies.
Facebook will bookmark these,
and provide you with updates
about their like totals from
passed week.
Be aware that the Pages that you
watch will receive a notification
that you’re watching them!
