2. ECALUATION
INTRODUCCION.
In this project I have tried to answer the questions I have proposed about Japan and
Italy.
I tried to explain their types of climate, major attractions, the different areas of their
country, their situation ... I've also tried to explain the different types of tourism and I
exposed my conclusion.
To answer these questions I use websites, travel books and my father being pilot
and travel the world to me explained how these countries are so pretty.
To this end I have included graphics, pictures and maps.
INTERNATIONAL TOURISM
For tourism means the set of activities carried out by
persons traveling to and staying in places outside their
usual environment for a period of more than one consecutive time
year for leisure, for business and other reasons, and not for reasons
lucrative.
(Dictionary of tourism-Montaner, Antich and Arcarons, 1998, p.369)
I believe that tourism is an important source of income for a country and we must all
take care of our cultural heritage and our nature.

3. 1.-WHAT
IS JAPAN LIKE?
Japanese culture has evolved greatly from its origins. Contemporary culture
combines influences from Asia, Europe and North America. Traditional Japanese
arts include crafts such as ceramics, textiles, lacquerware, swords and dolls;
performances of bunraku, kabuki, noh, dance, and rakugo; and other practices, the
tea ceremony, ikebana, martial arts, calligraphy, origami, onsen, Geisha and games.
Japan is a world leader in fundamental scientific research, having produced fifteen
Nobel laureates in either physics, chemistry or medicine, three Fields medalists, and
one Gauss Prize laureate. Some of Japan's more prominent technological
contributions are in the fields of electronics.
And i think Japan is so good, because i like the skycreapers, all abaut technology
and the food.

4. 1.1 WHERE IS IT SITUATED.
Japan is localed in the pacific ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of
Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of
Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the sout, and is
archipielago of 6,852
islands.
The
four
largest
islands
are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku.
1.2 RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER COUNTRIES.
Japan has diplomatic relations with nearly all independent nations and has been an
active member of the UN since December 1956. Its relations with countries other
than those discussed earlier are mainly commercial and economic. It has few major
political differences with any of them but is under continuing pressure from many to
limit its exports and to remove restrictions imposed on the import of foreign goods
and capital. It is also being pressed to contribute more to the socioeconomic
betterment of the developing nations.
Japanese influences are regarded as negative by two particular
countries: China and South Korea.

5. 1.3 CLIMATE.
Japan is a country surrounded by oceans and consists of four major islands
(Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu) and many small islands.
The climate varies widely from one region to region. Most parts of the country has
four distinct seasons:
Spring months are March, April, and May.
Summer months are June, July, and August.
Autumn months are September, October, and November.
Winter months are December, January, and February.
According to the 30 year normals (1981-2010) by Japan Meteorological Agency, the
average yearly temperatures for:
central Tokyo is 16.3 degrees C, for
Sapporo-city in Hokkaido is 8.9 degrees C
Naha-city in Okinawa is 23.1 degrees C.
The weather averages are good indicators of what to expect any month.

6. 1.4 ATTRACTIONS.
The best attractions in Japan are:
1. Golden Pavillion:
The pavilion was originally built as a retirement villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu
in the late 14th century.
2. Mount Fuji:
The volcano’s exceptionally symmetrical cone is a well-known symbol of Japan and
it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as a popular tourist attraction
for sightseers and climbers.
3. Tokyo Imperial Palace:
The Emperor of Japan makes his home at the Tokyo Imperial Palace. It also
functions as an administration center and museum to showcase Japanese art and
history.

7. 4. Tokyo Tower:
The Tokyo Tower is a testament to the advancement of technology and modern life.
Inspired by the Eiffel tower design, it is the second tallest man-made structure in
Japan and functions as a communications and observation tower. Visitors can climb
the tower for unparalleled views of Tokyo and the surrounding areas as well as visit
shops and restaurants.
5. Todaiji Temple.
The Todaiji Temple in Nara is a feat of engineering. It is not only the world’s largest
wooden building, it is home to the world’s largest bronze Buddha statue. Surrounded
by beautiful gardens and wildlife, the Kegon school of Buddhism is centered here
and the grounds hold many artifacts of Japanese and Buddhist history. Deer are
allowed to freely roam the grounds as messengers of the Shinto gods .

Japan is officially divided into the following eight regions:
Hokkaido
Tohoku
Kanto
Chubu
Kinki/Kansai
Chugoku
Shikoku
Kyushu (incl. Okinawa)

9. 2.-WHAT IS ITALY LIKE?
2.1 WHERE IS IT SITUATED
Italy is located in Southern Europe on the Italian Peninsula. It includes the two
largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. Italy shares its
northern border with France, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Austria.
2.2 RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER COUNTRIES
Italy was one of the Founding members of the European Community. Italy
participated in and deployed troops in support of UN peacekeeping missions
in Somalia, Mozambique, and East Timor.
European integration and the development of common defense and security policies
will continue to be of primary interest to Italy.

10. 2.3 CLIMATE
Italy has a mild temperate climate thanks to the moderating influence of the sea and
the protection given by the Alpine mountain barrier. The weather varies quite
considerably depending on how far you are from the sea or the mountains.
In mountain areas, skiing is very popular during the winter months; conditions are
ideal. The summer months provide perfect conditions for hiking etc. Seaside and
lakeside resorts get intensely busy in summer.

11. 2.4 ATRACTIONS
The best attractions in Japan are:
1. Canals of Venice.
Referred to as “The City of Water”, Venice is the crown jewel of water cities.
Romantic gondolas, and Italian architecture along the Grand Canal helped earn this
status. Stitched together with over 150 canals that have become central to its
character, Venice has decayed since its heyday and has more tourists than
residents, but with its romantic charm it remains one of the top tourist attractions in
Italy.
2. Colosseum.
The Colosseum in Rome is the largest and most famous amphitheater in the Roman
world. Its construction was started by emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty in
72 AD and was finished by his son Titus in 80 AD. The Colosseum was capable of
holding some 50,000 spectators who could enter the building through no less than
80 entrances.

12. 3. Santa Maria del Fiore
Begun in 1296 in the Gothic style and completed in 1436, The Basilica di Santa
Maria del Fiore is Florence’s beautiful cathedral and symbol of the city. The exterior
of the basilica is faced with polychrome marble panels in various shades of green
and pink bordered by white. The basilica is one of Italy’s largest churches.
4. Piazza del Campo.
One of Europe’s greatest medieval squares, the Piazza del Campo is the principal
public space of the historic center ofSiena, Tuscany. It is renowned worldwide for its
beauty and architectural integrity. The Palazzo Pubblico and its famous tower, as
well as various palazzi signorili belonging to the wealthiest of Siena families surround
the shell-shaped piazza.
5. Pompeii.
On August 24, 79 AD, the volcano Vesuvius erupted, covering the nearby town
Pompeii with ash and soil, and subsequently preserving the city in its state from that
fateful day. Everything from jars and tables to paintings and people were frozen in
time.

Lombardia, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia
Romagna, Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia, Calabria, Sicilia, Basilicata,
Campania, Lazio, Umbria, Toscana, Liguria, Piemonte, Valle D Aosta,
Sardegna.

15. 3.- TIPES OF TOURIST
Japan is one of the world's countries with better quality of life, and it is a beautiful
country to Westerners. There are cities that are linked by the bullet train, has many
museums, medieval castles and beautiful alpine paisages.
For me it would be my ideal holiday, it combines history, nature and culture. Of
course, I love Japanese food (Shushi) and would be a dream to live in Tokyo,
because I love the skyscrapers and all the technology.
I hope to be there in the next Olympics.
Italy is one of the favorite countries for tourism and vacation of any kind. For those
who love art and culture According to UNESCO, more than half of the historical and
artistic heritage of the world is in this country.
For those who love the sun and the beach found along the entire coast a beautiful,
clean beaches and tourist facilities provided.
For those who like to climb or find mountain walks, hiking and all the beauty of
alpine nature.
My parents have been many times in Rome, Venice, Pisa and my mother says that
there is no place in the world more rewarding than Italy. We can find museums,
cathedrals, churches and parishes, monasteries and convents, palaces and castles
and villas archaeological sites ... The Italians are very hospitable people and very
sympathetic, always willing to help tourists.
I have really wanted to go to Italy to meet her.
4.-CONCLUSION
I am Spanish and live in a very touristy island called Mallorca. Since I was born I'm
used to seeing tourists and I think that in this work I have learned a lot from two
countries that never heard, I've also learned that the weather is very important for
tourists, attractions, museums, nature, beaches ...
I think the Japanese and Italians are very different yet very hospitaliarios.
I think we make a mistake if we compare countries, because they are very different
but both wonderful.
I prefer to live in Japan.

18. 8.-EVALUATION
I really enjoyed doing this work because I love traveling and discovering
new countries. These parties I go to Vietnam with my family and I'm sure
it will be a memorable voyage. You learn a lot traveling, culture, people,
cities ... I felt very comfortable doing this work but still need a lot more
English vocabulary and not be ashamed to express myself, so I have
had to spend many hours. But I'm happy with the result.
