5. What does Acme™ Travel Companion do?

6. What we have built for THack
Uses the following APIs:
Jeppesen Journey Planner
OAG
Navigate between Airport and Hotel
Shows distance (for taxi/driving) and transit details (for bus/train) in
reaching destination.
Rebranded (or white-labelled) for travel agents to give to
travel customers
Given to the traveller by the travel agent

7. Commercial Model
Application for the traveller
Built in partnership with:
Travel Agency (branding for app)
GDS’
Activities based purchasing (Expedia or other)
Proposed Model
Funding from organisation that allows purchasing of products while on
location. For example: Broadway tickets, Zoos and Amusement Parks
(Disneyland) etc.)
App branded for travel agent (owns the customer relationship)
Provided free of charge to traveller
Would take an export of the booking - or allow OAG data to show real-
time updates for flights.

8. Who could pay for this?
Travel Agency could pay for integration – relatively small
App code could be open source
Global Advertisers (Travel Insurance providers?)
The organisation that gains the most – selling location-based
tickets through the app in Activities (something like Expedia
Activities?).
