This document discusses the development of Taiwan Geospatial One Stop (TGOS), a national geospatial information system in Taiwan. TGOS provides a central portal for accessing nine spatial database categories covering natural environment, resources, transportation, land use, and more. The future plan is to upgrade TGOS to a cloud-based system by the end of 2013 to provide increased flexibility, collaboration, disaster recovery and cost savings. A SWOT analysis identifies the variety and accuracy of maps as strengths while noting challenges around old habits and an API still under development.
