Madagascar’s Cultuere and history

• Madgascar is the 4th largest island in the
    world
• It is home to hundtdreds of animal species
    found nowhere else on earth
• They were a colonie of france from 1890 to
    1960
• They speak malagasy and their currency
compared to the u.s. dollar is 2211.12 malgasy
    ariary
• Their flag is white on one side and red and
    green on the other
• Madagascar is mostly desert, grassland and
cropland with little trees and They also have
    many rivers.
Health issues in madagascar

     madagascar is suffering from severe
health issues. The overwhelming problem is
taking the lives of many and does not have
any simple solutions because of the
country’s bad econoMy. currently the
country only has only 11 doctors per
100,000 and the infant mortality is at 94.2
deaths per 100 births, which is extremely
high compared to aMerica’s 7. making the
life expectancy, 52 years old.
Other health stats in
       madagascar:
• About 1,700 people die a year from
  hiv/aids.
• About 1,496 people die from poor
  nutrition a year.
• About 901 people die from
  tuberculosis a year.
• About 1,054 people die a year from
  malaria.
• About 510 people die a year from
  cancer
But their may be a solution!
       investing in education, for better
schools, a better education and smarter kids!
And smarter kids will grow up to go to college
and become a doctor or a scientist or anything
other career that could find cures for
diseases and help people with their health.
One of the biggest reasons why people keep
dying of serious diseases like cancer, malaria
etc. is because they do not have a doctor to go
to. Investing in education will create more
doctors help those people. Unfortunately
other neighbor countries can not contribute
toward this project nor can they benefit from
it.
Another solution

there is another possible solution for
Madagascar’s HEALTH ISSUE. They can use a bigger
portion of their tax dollars towards college funds
there will be more colleges so more people can go
to college and get a better education. Currently
there are only 5 major universities in madagascar.
Using tax dollars FOR MORE COLLEGES WILL INCREASE
THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WITH MEDICAL DEGREES SO MORE
CERTIFIED DOCTORS TO BETTER THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE.
OTHER NEIGHBOOR COUNTRIES CAN HELP BY TRADEING WITH
MADAGASCAR TO HELP THEIR ECONOMY.
Trading with mali
Mali has a extemly large supply of
salt but they are struggling to get
enough water, on the other
hand, madagascar has a sufficient supply
of rain and river water, but they are
struggling with poor nutrition. Mali is
willing to trade with madagascar
though, which could put an end to both
countries problems. Mali is willing to
trade 1 half pound of salt for every 5
inches of rainwater with madagascar.
Since Madagascar’s problem is partly
food shortage, salt will preserve food to
better the people’s health and hunger.
Madagascar’s final solution
out of the three solutions that I have
presented, think that investing in education
will help solve the problem the best. If
madagascar can start educating younger
kids better then that can completely
change the way those kids look at their
future and then instead of being a farmer
or a fisherman they would be a doctor
instead.
