2. My wish for my tenth birthday came true. I got the most precious gift a girl could ask for, a Chihuahua puppy. I named her Chiqa. Chiqa means little girl in Spanish. She was my little girl. Chiqa was brown and white, with a cute pink nose, and big bat ears.
3. Chica was fluffy and smelled like a babby. Chica was in love with me, and I loved her, too. She wore her favorite pink sweater all the time.
4. I had Chiqa for six short months. She was born with disorder ,common in small dog, called Hydrocephalus. This disease is when the brain grows too big for the skull, and fluid gets on the brain. This causes the puppy a lot of pain and makes it hard for the puppy to walk.
5. Chiqa was fine for the first part of her life but then the symptoms hit really hard .We spent a lot of time at the vet. She had to take of medicine too.
6. Chiqa and I took many pictures together and had so much fun together. I took my puppy everywhere I went. She even got to visit me at school and was in the schools talent show with me . Chiqa had a Salesian uniform for her too .
7. Having a puppy with special needs taught me how precious and fragile life is. I was also faced with the hardest decision of my life. I had to decide if I should keep chiqa living the way she was, in pain most of the time, or to let her rest in peace by putting her to sleep .
8. With the support of my family and the vet, I decided to put Chiqa to rest. It was a rainy day and this seemed to make things a bit more sad. We took Chiqa to the vet where she got her shot that put hero to rest.
9. We burried our little girl in our beautiful rose garden. I visit her often and know that she is with our lord now. It makes me happy to know that that she is safe and resting in peace.
