4. The depth of learning from Mary as a sure guide, made Don Bosco and Maria Domenica attentive and sensitive to hear the cry of poor and abandoned young people; creative and active in responding to the needs of their time.

5. For us, too, this is the heart of our Salesian vocation , the grace of unity that makes our everyday life the place of the Covenant, of meeting and of responding in love, to the love of God.

6. The Preventive System, as spirituality and method, draws its characteristic traits from the heart of Christ. To follow the path of preventive education is to help the person to develop the best of her/himself opening themselves to the meaning of life founded on love that is inspired by the Gospel and by the christian humanism of St Francis of Sales.

7. In Mornese, in spite of the obvious limitations of means and people, Maria Domenica and the first Sisters built a house of the love of God for the young people.

8. Don Bosco and Maria Domenica gave priority to the involvement of the young people and of collaborators in the educational work. This choice favoured the creation of an environment that resulted in an ecosystem of communication: in salesian tradition, this experience takes on the name of family spirit.
