SharePoint is a collaborative, web-based environment used to improve organizational
structure, content management and standardization.

SharePoint provides a full set of flexible tools to create a multi-site (Site Collections)
infrastructure. Site Collections allow organizations, departments, colleagues; and teams
to create, manage and share data across Intranet or Extranet site – even with external
partners.
