2. When looking at the lyrics I have decided
that I should create the music video based
entirely on the performance of the artist.
This is because the lyrics are reflecting on
the past therefore I believe it should follow
the convention of a soul music video on
being either all narrative or all
performance.

That you found a girl and you're married now
I heard that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you

This introduces the artist with the lyrics giving off the impression of
her reflecting on somebody in her past with the present tense and
repetition of '' I heard…'' This will be in a scenic place with the main
focus on the artist so that the audience is introduced to her and the
performance and emotion is showed clearly.

4. “Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light
I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me, it isn't over”

The facial expression will be emphasised on the line “but I couldn’t
stay away, I couldn’t fight it” to show the emotion of the artist. This
allows the audience to relate to the song as it shows emotions within
it.

Don't forget me, I beg, I remember you said
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead

This will be on a plain background with the artist in the
foreground and being the main focus as the concentration will
be on the lyrics and the expressions of the artist and using a
plain background also fits in with the genre of soul music
videos.

or a figure in the distance to represent the lyrics and the
