Focus Training provides a Certified Telecommunication Fraud Specialist (CTFS) qualification that has been endorsed by major telecommunications companies. The new CTFS program involves three steps - studying materials online, passing an entrance exam, and attending a 5-day intensive study module. Upon passing the exam after the module, students receive CTFS certification. The CTFS qualification requires only 5 days away from work and costs less than the previous certification from GSMA.

Qualification (CTFS)
Continuing on the back of 7 successful years training for the GSMA Focus
Training has now moved the CTFS qualification to an industry recognized
qualification endorsed by the GSM Fraud Forum. To date Vodafone
Group, Digicel (Joe Simmonds one of the founders of the GSMA Fraud
Training), Neural Technologies and soon MTN Academy have endorsed
the new style training programme.
How the new programme works.
Step One.
On registration and payment you will be sent a PDF manual which will
clearly indicate which sections you need to study and which sections are
for reference only. You will also be provided with login details to our
website.
Step Two.
From date of registration you have up to three months to study the material
and go online, using your log in details, to sit an entrance exam. This
exam can be taken more that once but you must pass this exam in order to
qualify to attend the class room based study module. The exam will
consist of 25 objective (tick box) questions which will be randomly
generated from our database. The pass mark will be 40% or 10 out of 25
questions right.
Step Three.
Once you have passed the entrance exam you will be invited to attend a 5
day intensive study module, this may be in the UK or elsewhere. On this
module you will be taught by one of Focus training staff and will be given
further knowledge and techniques to identify and combat fraud.
At the end of this 5 day course you will sit a second exam of 25 objective
questions with the same pass mark. If you pass this exam you will receive
certification in the Industry Standard:
Certified Telecommunications Fraud Specialist (CTFS) Qualification
Cost.
The new qualification requires only 5 days extraction from work and is
priced substantially lower than the former GSMA qualification.
