1. BGSU uses Microsoft Office Outlook
Web Access for Microsoft Exchange
Server 2007 for their webmail.
This presentation will show you how to log in to BGSU’s webmail , a few tips on using
it and why webmail is important for ATE students.
2. As an online student, this will be a major mode of
communication from your professors for things like;
returning graded assignments
important updates in the course syllabus and new
lessons posted
answering individual questions about the course
information about upcoming tests or quizzes
Important information from the College of Technology
about any deadlines or registration dates.
Communication with classmates for group projects.
3. 1. Go to the BGSU
Homepage @
http://www.bgsu.edu/
and click on “BGSU
EMAIL” on the
bottom right hand side
of the screen.
4. 2. Type in your user
name and password
(these will be the
same as your
MyBGSU log in
information.
Then click on Log
On.
5. You are now in BGSU’s webmail. You can now
start setting up folders and saving contact
information .
6. Setting up folders for each course helps keep
you organize and easier to go refer back to for
reference.
Save important contact information that you
will use often, such as your advisor.
You can search the BGSU directory for anyone
with a BGSU email. You can search by name or
position. If you type admissions you get
different people to choose from. (see final slide
for this example)
