One of aims of the contest was to help generate ideas from Miami’s creative communityResponse has been overwhelmingOver the past three years received more than 7,000 ideas about how strengthen artsFrom over 2,300 applicantsApplicants allowed to submit several ideas over the years(Record is one organization that has submitted over 44 ideas!)Draws new philanthropic support into the sectorFuels Miami’s creative zeitgeist Importantly those ideas have come from a range of sourcesNot just arts nonprofit organizations, but reaching out to individuals, arts collectives, private businessesFormat was designed to be simple and open to all
Hope to nurture impact projects. Winners contributing to Miami’s cultural community by:Broadening access to, encouraging participation in, and developing audiences for the arts. Nurturing the local artist community and training youth. Highlighting the rich mix of cultures to bridge communities within South Florida.
