Linux servers’ general advantages:

Run on a command (no GUI's weighing down
performance)
●
Customize the kernel tailed for your needs
●
Cost
●
Downtimes (ex: defrag downtime) => reboots
●
And so mush other disadvantages of Windows servers that i am bored to write down now :D
4. Linux Servers
Linux

Strong presence in the web and DNS
space (free of cost & strong)
●
For the first two decades of the Internet
Microsoft products offered neither of
these advantages.
●
With Web servers the choice is usually
LAMP and that runs on Linux.

Ubuntu server has helped lots of cool IT
companies in the world at scale
(ex:Rackspace)

Understandable question : Why Ubuntu?

Ubuntu and OpenStack (IaaS cloud
computing project) are ready for production.
OpenStack is:
