                 Access Controller and GV-System

                                                                  Article ID: GV3-11-6-17
                                                                  Release Date: 6/17/2011

Applied to
GV-Reader
GV-RK1352 Card Reader
GV-R1352 Card Reader

Summary
The GeoVision card readers can integrate your current access controller with GV-System to
have access control and video surveillance working together. The GeoVision card readers are
connected between any access controller and GV-System. When a card is presented to the
card reader, the card reader will send the card data to both connected access controller and
GV-System. The GeoVision card readers can seamlessly and efficiently integrate the access
control system into video surveillance system to ease monitoring tasks and increase security.

GeoVision Inc. 1 Revision Date: 6/17/2011
To connect GV-Reader
Connect GV-Reader to the access controller through the Wiegand interface by wiring Red,
Black, Green and White lines from the card reader. Then connect the RS-485 interface of
GV-Reader to the GV-System via GV-COM V2, GV-Hub V2 or GV-NET/IO Card V3.1. These
devices are connected as illustrated below.
