The Building and Grounds Department will effectively serve the students, staff, and Dunlap community in a professional
manner and will provide a safe, clean, and sanitary environment in which to learn and work.

4. Director of Building & Grounds
• Responsible for all Local & State Safety Regulations , ROE Compliance for all district buildings
• Bleacher, Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Backflow, Boiler, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguisher, Defibrillators,
Kitchen Fire Suppressant Systems Inspections
• Assist all maintenance employees as needed on a daily basis
• Coordinate supply orders as needed for all 8 district schools & 2 administrative buildings
• Coordinate with HR scheduling & arranging staff training
• Coordinate custodial substitute staffing needs
• Assign tasks as requested by individual school principals
• Obtain services from outside vendors as needed (electrical/plumbing/HVAC/Roofing)
• Pay all district maintenance invoices
• Review & approve all large maintenance equipment requests
• Supervise all outside groundskeeping for athletic events & routine grounds maintenance
• Coordinate coverage for all custodial staffing of athletic events, extracurricular activities & weekend
building rentals for non-district related events.
• Interview full-time, part-time, & substitute maintenance Staff
• Perform Work order Track-It software reporting
• Complete assigned tasks from Assistant Superintendant
• Leadership of Maintenance Team
