2. People recognize patterns by necessity, and three is the smallest number of elements required to create a pattern. This combination of pattern and brevity results in memorable content, and that’s why the Rule of Three will make you a more engaging and convincing writer.
3. To write a persuasive opinion piece begin with your opinion and then apply the rule of 3. Plan, plan, plan! Have THREE reasons to support your opinion. When writing, begin with a clear statement of topic and opinion. Follow it up with a path that states your THREE arguments. Put each reason in its own paragraph creating THREE paragraphs.
4. Let's get thinking about writing opinion pieces with... some FOUR corners!
5. Here is how it will work: 1. I will show you a statement. 2. You will decide your opinion. 3. You will have an opportunity to debate and discuss your thoughts with ``like minded`` people. 4. You will decide on your 3 BEST reasons to support your opinion. 5. You will share your thoughts with the class in an effort to persuade others to join your side. Let`s give it a try...
10. Media from other countries should be allowed to broadcast their opinions openly in Canada.
11. So hopefully things are a little more clear. Persuasive writing can easily be accomplished by remembering a two key things: 1. Know what your opinion is. If you are not sure, how can you expect to convince other people? 2. Follow the RULE OF THREE!
