13. Is Social Networking a Gateway To Establishing Blog Presence? We would actually argue the opposite. A blog should be considered a good foundation for all your technologies. It’s like the home base. Once you’ve mastered blogging, social networking becomes easier as you can auto push your blog articles to things like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Blogs are great mediums to showcase video from YouTube and PDFs or Power Point presentations. They can also house mp3 files and serve as a podcast platform. Your blog makes social networking just a little easier to manage.
14. What Happens if I Try It, Don’t Like it, and Quit? Just about the same as would happen with anything falling in this category, not much. If you start a blog and abandon it – just make sure you take it down so Google doesn’t continue to recommend it (even on the free platforms, take them down!). You don’t want people to find a site that you are not actively managing. Usually you can also get a complete ‘dump’ of the content you’ve put in to the site so you have it in case you’d like to start up again.
