This document describes items from around the house that demonstrate simple machines. It identifies 14 items and classifies each as a specific simple machine or combination of machines. The items include stairs, a kitchen sink, an office chair, a mini van, backpack pulleys, cabinet blinds, rubber and sledge hammers, a chocolate milk lid, cabinet screws, knives, forks, scissors, and a bottle opener. Each item is described, its simple machine identified, and where it was found is provided.
6. It would be an incline since you would have to go up to get to the counter tops. The kitchen sink is used for washing hands and washing dishes.

8. It is a wheel and axle because the chair having wheels and a axle it makes it move around than a normal chair without wheels. This is used to move around easy in a chair
11. This would be a wheel and axle because you have 4 wheels connect to the axle making it roll. This is used to get to places fast.

13. This is a pulley because when I want to raise my backpack later on it will make it so easy to raise my backpack up and down. This is used when I want my back pack lowered or higher.
31. This is a wedge because you wedge it between meat to put into your mouth.

33. It is considered a wedge and a lever because when you are cutting though things and a lever because you are lifting it up making it easer to cut.

35. It is a lever since it Is used to hold into place making it a lever. The end would be a screw since it is keeping the bottle cap with it to pop it off.
