The idea of entering into the fire
extinguisher business was inspired by his
father, Mr. Marcelo T. Santos owner of
Marcelo T. Santos Enterprises. At that
moment Mr. Efren P. Santos was simply a
helper and technician of his father’s
company. Until such time that he thought
of having his own.
Thus born, E.P.S. Enterprises on April
1976. It was started with a few workers
since the business is only refilling and
manufacturing small quantities of fire extinguishers. In the year 1990, it has expanded more delivery
cars and sub-agent assigned at the different areas of the country. In 1996, by the grace of our Lord,
the company built a four-storey building, additional working area and personnel. By the year 1997, it
has commences importing Dry Chemical powder (Mono Ammonium Phosphate) and fire extinguisher
accessories from China, which were trade to the manufacturers of fire extinguisher here in the
Philippines.
The company’s main product is the “FALCON” brand (DRY, CO2 and AFFF Chemical) and “FIRE
CONTROL” brand (HCFC­123
and HFC­236fa
Chemical) fire extinguisher. However, it also selling
imported fire extinguisher like “AMEREX” brand (DRY and CO2 Chemical), refill and service any type
and brand of fire extinguisher.
Aside from manufacturing and distributing outsized quantity of fire extinguishers, the company also
markets other fire fighting equipments such as Kitchen Suppression System, Fire Alarm System, Fire
Hose Cabinet and accessories, Fire Retardant, Fireman’s Gear, Fire Blanket, and other fire fighting
equipments.
E.P.S. Enterprises is approved by the Bureau of Product Standards and is accredited by the
necessary agencies. It has expanded its employees, sales representatives and distributors in various
parts of the country and has grown to be one of the country’s leading suppliers of fire fighting
equipment.
