AN OVERALL VIEW /IDEA OF WHAT IS
ABOUT. (READING FOR GIST)

GET SPECIFIC INFORMATION.

• They are a test of reading only.
• Read and analyse the question before reading the
passage.

• Use deduction to work out the meaning of any key words
but DON’T WORRY if you don´t understand every word.
