5. 45% of our children have 2 or more risk factors that jeopardize their success in school

6. 65% of our children are not in preschool

7. 1 of 5 of our youths is led into the juvenile justice system

8. 50 % don’t graduate from high school

9. Only 3% of our businesses are Latino- owned

10. 1 out of 800 nonprofits are managed by Latinos … 60% of these report $0 income

14. Because only 1.3% of giving from foundations, corporations, and charitable organizations is given to Latino organizations

21. By inspiring 80 Latino students from nine different high schools in the Yakima Valley to set goals beyond high school.

22. By developing Latina entrepreneurs to become self-sufficient. Through training, communal network , and mentor-like steps in starting their businesses .

23. By helping 200 Latino high school students from around the State to enroll in college. Through leadership and network, students are strengthening their commitments to completing a college degree.

24. By preventing 100 Latino youth from being recruited and initiated into gangs through positive social activities.

25. Providing quality early childhood education to 80 Latino children (birth to five years old) and increase their school readiness

27. Expand the capacity of existing non-profits to meet the growing demand for increased social and health services for Latino families

28. Develop more Latino-owned, community enhancing businesses

30. Prevent Latino youth from entering the juvenile justice system and reducing recidivism

31. Lower the Latino student dropout rates and increasing post-secondary enrollment, particularly in high need professions
