Scene 1: Universal Universal studio’s is not actually British, but is well known by the British public and has worked with Working Title on previous films. So when people watch this they get a sense of familiarity before it has even started.
Scene 2: Opening The first opening scene to Hot Fuzz includes a picture of a British Police Badge which is an icon (iconography) to the British public because of the crown at the top and the fact that we’re used to seeing it on British policeman all around the country.
Scene 3: Intro Just like the Police Badge , the Police uniform is just as well known by the British public, giving the audience something to relate to.
Scene 4: London London is one the most famous city’s in Britain, and has the one the highest population in Britain too. London is also well known by other country’s around the world.
Scene 5: The Countryside Britain’s countryside is also well known about , just as much as London it self is. Many British people live in the countryside as well.
Scene 6: Pub A British Pub is known by people everywhere. They have a certain design that only a British pub has. And every town has a least one but normally have more.
Scene 7 & 8: Drink issues Drink Driving and Teenage Drinking are problems that are known by all Britain's and may have an effect on the majority, giving the audience a problem they can easily relate to.
