1. Evaluation Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
2. Photoshop
I have broadened my understanding of the tools available
on Photoshop that helped me create my magazine and
make it look more professional
Before I created my product I could only use the simple
tools on Photoshop. Now I am able to use the more
complex tools to edit the appearance of pictures and the
layout of my magazine
I can use layers properly to organise the layout of my
magazine. I created a new layer of my models hair to
enable me to make it appear my mast head was behind
her
3. InDesign
InDesign was a piece of software I was unfamiliar with
when I created my preliminary product. It turned out to be
a very useful program that allowed me to create my
contents page and double page spread with the use of
columns.
I could import .psd documents into InDesign which is what
I did for my front cover so any changes I made to my
magazine cover on Photoshop were applied in InDesign
4. Camera
I have developed skills that allowed me to capture
professional looking images of my models. The pictures
were in focus by the use of the zoom function
The quality of the camera really helped me capture some
good images to use in my magazine. The camera I used had
a high megapixel and also automatically focused onto
objects it could see
5. Blogspot
Blogspot has been very useful as it has allowed me to keep
a record of all my work from the research and planning
stages of my product to the creation
It has allowed me to keep any evidence I need and in a
very organised way in one place
I can embed codes into my blog posts such as from Prezi
which is a good way to present research and also to
answer evaluation questions
6. Prezi
Prezi is an internet service I used to present my research. It
allowed me to create a mind map to store all my ideas and
things that I found out when looking at existing magazines
I found out that you can put images in and videos to reflect
your research further
I used arrows to point the parts of the image that I was
talking about
It is an alternative to PowerPoint that allows you to view
everything at once without having to go from slide to slide
– ideal for recording research as I did
